It's dramatic, it's unique, and it's something many of us cannot get enough of! This class is for blood players, potential blood players, and non-blood players alike. It is being offered for free on this date to increase accessibility, as it is being offered privately and not through another organization. This is an in-depth view that aims to be a comprehensive overview* of all things red and drippy in kink. At the end of this class, you will know how to create an evidence-based risk assessment, infection prevention plan, and infection control plan. We'll discuss blood-borne pathogens, exposure risks, aftercare, bacteria wells, and risk mitigation in both private and public situations. You'll learn the Spaulding classification system, and how to accurately assess the level of germicidal needed and other protective equipment. That might sound scary, for sure, but we'll also discuss the why's and hows of common types of blood play and adaptations for health concerns. It's for enjoyment (loosely used term) after all. We'll talk tools, first aid kits, and what to do when things go wrong. This will be for both sides of the slash, and touch on the risks associated for players, spectators, and communities. We'll tell you where to get blood-borne pathogen training, how to get First Aid/CPR/AED certification, common methods of sterilization/disinfection/sanitization, and emergency procedures. We will also have an open floor format discussion on blood and sharps based skills. This is a longer class than usual, and aims for about 3 hours. It covers A LOT of information, but does so in a way that is easy to understand and practical. Notes, handouts, and the slides will be made available to attendees. Please note that you should seek the assistance of an experienced blood player if at all possible to mentor you in appropriately risk mitigated methods. *Please note we will not be able to cover absolutely every possible situation or aspect, as that would be better suited to
