We'll talk about how to set up your first scene, tips for scene planning, guides for risk mitigation, drop, and how to know when something is just a bit off. Where Breaking Out covers background and feminist theory, this class is all about practical skills to add to your repertoire. The Presenter: Ember Solaris (Fetlife: @xSolaris) has been active in the BDSM community for about a decade. They are a social scientist, psychologist, neuroscientist, and social worker. They research emotions/emotion regulation, interpersonal relationships, trauma, addictive behaviors, etc. They are also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Interpersonal Therapy, the Gottman Approach, and more, but do not currently practice. They primarily work in academic research. Ember dabbles in professional BDSM.
